Perkee coffee was created by contract caterer, bartlett mitchell.
bartlett mitchell was born on a fine summer night, with passionate foodie people, two loaves, five fishes and a chilled Sancerre. If Perkee had been created at the time, no doubt the meal would have been completed with an espresso coffee.
From this meeting of minds and stomachs, bartlett mitchell was lovingly kneaded into reality. The vision was to run a catering company that respects and values its clients, and keeps its team and ‘Fundamentally Food’ principles at its heart.
Our culture is based on the personalities of our core founders – entrepreneurial foodies, with the energy, creativity and initiative you expect from natural entrepreneurs. Together, they’ve created a company of like-minded people, who enjoy building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Fresh ideas every time
Because we’re an entrepreneurial business, we don’t have a one-size fits-all template that we attempt to force on each client. Our catering focuses on tailor-made solutions using innovation. We take time to develop bespoke ideas to match the client culture, employees’ taste and the physical environment.
We also recognise the importance of value for money. We work as a tight, agile team to develop solutions that reduce costs and use resources more smartly.
Where bartlett mitchell is now…
We’ve grown steadily to a team of over 800 experienced foodies, serving 40,000 customers every day in over 90 locations in London and the South East.
We’re proud of our 98 per cent client retention rate, running contracts with businesses across a broad range of sectors, including finance, legal, media and technology.
Sustainability and ethics underpin everything we do – from sourcing responsibly and reducing waste to supporting communities. We’ve won Sustainable Restaurant Association’s ‘Sustainable Caterer of the Year’ Award three years in succession, been voted a ‘Best Company’ to work for, and achieved ‘Investors in People Gold’.
As an independent company, our financial strategy is to re-invest our profits to fund business growth. we base our decisions on what our clients need from our catering service, not on the interests of shareholders.
